About Me

Hello, I'm Gayle Dowell. I'm a stay-at-home mom of two teen girls, and wife of my college sweetheart. I've been traveling the road of art and creativity for most of my life. This website is my digital journal of these travels. My hope is that you enjoy the scenery along the way as you explore the different roads that I've taken.

God had called me at an early age into this artistic journey. While growing up, I was always coloring, drawing, and making things. I have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Design Technology from Oklahoma State University. I've worked as a technical illustrator for an agricultural business and two Universities. I've owned my own graphic arts businesses, Midwest Graphics in Champaign, Illinois and Graphics Unlimited in Albany, Georgia. Today, I homeschool my two teen daughters helping them find their creative voice.

My daughters and I make handcrafted jewelry together and sell it at art shows and on our Etsy and Artfire Shops. Our proceeds benefit orphanages that we sponsor in Tanzania and Zimbabwe, Africa. My watercolor and acrylic paintings have been displayed at local galleries, the Manhattan Art Center and the Columbian Theater.

God has truly been with me in this journey, guiding me as a go, showing me His creation, and letting me join in His joy of creating.
